Yesterday, Costa Rica had the once-in-a-lifetime chance of a making a change. We, out of all the central america's countries, decided WE could take charge of our own future. We were a proud example of idiosincracy.
We showed the United States that we are not a blind nation that simply follows, like we did in the past. For the first time in Costa Rica's history, we had the choice in our hands. And what we chose was.....the same?!
WTF??
Can someone please make me understand because i can't quite believe the majority chose to give the same politicians the same power they had to keep doing whatever the f*ck they want with us?? 51.6% voted YES to CAFTA.
48.4% of us voted NO. So it's obvious the nation is absolutely divided, and half of costarricans showed we don't believe in this treatment. But now there's no way back. Thanks Sheeple. We'll now suffer the concequences of a badly negotiated treatment.
All i can say now is, I TRIED.
Todavia mi corazon dice NO.
